We send teachers to you. inlingua Cheltenham delivers in-house English training on site in other countries, for organisations that need their people to work in English in a particular field. We have run programmes for energy companies, armed forces, diplomatic services and universities across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and South America. Whether it is one person or a thousand who need industry-specific English, we can build and staff the programme.

English where your people are
Sending a team to England is not always practical. Over recent years inlingua Cheltenham has become increasingly involved in professional-sector contracts abroad, with teachers who travel to deliver in-house training in the client's own workplace.
The training is built around the job, not around a general syllabus. An engineer on an oil platform, a diplomat preparing for posting and a park ranger briefing international visitors all need English — but not the same English, and not taught the same way.

How a contract comes together
Tell us four things and we can put a proposal in front of you:
- Who needs the training — how many people, and roughly what level of English they have now
- What they need to be able to do — the tasks, the vocabulary, the situations they are getting stuck in
- Where and when — your premises, ours, or online, and over what period
- Any assessment — whether you need a recognised qualification such as IELTS at the end of it
We come back with a costed programme, including who would teach it. Every contract is quoted individually, because none of them look alike.

Common questions
Will your teachers travel to us?
Yes. That is the point of these contracts — we have teachers who travel to deliver in-house English training in the client's own country and workplace. Where travel is impractical or a programme suits it better, we also deliver online, as we have for PetroChina in Iraq.
How small or large a group can you train?
Anything from one person to a thousand. Small groups usually mean one teacher and a tightly focused programme; large contracts mean a team and a structure built around your shifts, sites and levels.
Can you teach English for a specific industry?
Yes, and it is most of what we do on these contracts. Past programmes have covered oil and gas, military and general English for armed forces, diplomacy, conservation, and IELTS preparation for access to higher education.
Can you deliver teacher training abroad?
Yes. We have run Trinity CertTESOL courses in China and Switzerland, a Trinity DipTESOL course in Malta, and teacher refresher courses in China. More about our TESOL training.
How much does it cost?
Every contract is quoted individually, because group size, location, duration, travel and subject matter all move the figure. Email us your requirement and we will send a costed proposal.
