Weekly tuition rates fall the longer you stay, which is why twelve weeks of Intensive English 30 costs less per week than four. Airport transfers are extra: a return taxi is £350 from Bristol or Birmingham, £450 from Heathrow or Luton, and £500 from Gatwick or Stansted.

Working it out yourself

If your booking is not in the table above, the sum is straightforward. Add together:

  1. Tuition. Your weekly course rate multiplied by the number of weeks. The rate depends on how long you stay — see the full price list.
  2. Accommodation. £225 a week for standard homestay, £250 full board, £275 executive, £300 executive full board. Weeks run Sunday to Sunday, so one week is seven nights.
  3. Airport transfer, if you want one. £175 to £260 one way, depending on the airport.
  4. £60 registration fee, once, unless you are a returning student.
  5. £40 accommodation arrangement fee, once, if we book your accommodation.

A few extras apply in particular cases: £25 a week summer supplement on accommodation in July and August, £30 a week for a special diet, and £100 each way for unaccompanied minors under 16.

Not included in any price

Flights, travel and health insurance, local bus travel cards, a UK SIM card, lunches on excursion days, exam entry fees for IELTS and Cambridge, and personal spending money.

Common questions

How much does it cost to study English in Cheltenham?

In 2027, General English 20 costs £270 to £375 per week and Intensive English 30 costs £335 to £455 per week, depending on how long you stay. Standard homestay accommodation is £225 a week including breakfast, dinner and laundry. A four-week General English 20 course with homestay comes to £2,500 in total, including the £60 registration fee and £40 accommodation arrangement fee.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. Every price is published on this website as plain text, and the totals above are complete. The only things you pay separately are the items listed under "not included" — flights, insurance, exam entry fees, personal spending and so on — and we will always tell you about anything that applies to your booking before you pay.

Do I have to pay everything at once?

No. You reserve your place with the registration fee and, if you need accommodation, the accommodation arrangement fee. The balance is due at least three weeks before you arrive. Students who need a visa pay a 15% deposit plus administrative fees before we can issue a visa support letter.

Do you offer a discount for longer courses?

The weekly rate falls automatically the longer you book. There are five price bands — 1–4 weeks, 5–8, 9–12, 13–25 and 25 weeks or more — and the lower rate applies to every week of your stay, not just the later ones. If you extend your course while you are here, we move you into the lower band.

When will the fee calculator be available?

We are testing it now and expect it to launch shortly. In the meantime, email info@inlingua-cheltenham.co.uk with your course, dates and accommodation preference, and we will send you a full breakdown, usually within one working day.
