We have established a close relationship with numerous local State schools that are willing to take well educated students from overseas onto their normal courses for students aged 15-17. The schools offer a full curriculum for students who have the language level to cope with year 10 (15 year olds) and year 12 (17 year olds). These are the first years of GCSE and A Level preparation courses and not the examination years of Year 11 and 13. If a student wishes to attend an examination year then inlingua Cheltenham will approach the schools to see if this is possible. For students to be successful their language level needs to be at least intermediate and it may well be advisable to do a preliminary EAP (English for Academic Purposes) course at inlingua Cheltenham during the summer months of July and/or August in preparation for the start of the school year in September.
All state schools in the UK work on the basis of a 3 term year: September to December, January to March and April to July. All accommodation issues will be dealt with by inlingua Cheltenham during term time and holiday periods. Please see the list below for the schools available for this programme:
