Blended Learning
inlingua Cheltenham are striving to develop a blended learning approach which gives the student experience of different learning environments. Blended learning gives learners and teachers a potential environment to learn and teach more effectively. The techniques used here involve a combination of traditional classroom-based learning and remote Distance Learning formats. In a blended course, students are required to attend classes and outside class use elearning techniques such as online self-paced instruction, online chat, online conferencing, podcasting to complement and support their classroom environment.
inlingua Cheltenham are using the online Macmillan English Campus and the inlingua online system to help develop its own blended learning approach and to this aim inlingua Cheltenham will incorporate other technologies into the classroom environment and beyond in the coming year to give the students a learning environment which supports the classroom approach and then takes the learner beyond the classroom to enforce and support their learning even when they have left the school.
